  • Between 255- and 275-thousand community college students took a philosophy course in the fall of 2015.
  • Approximately 5,000 faculty taught courses in philosophy.
  • Approximately 90% of community colleges offered a course in philosophy.
  • Students taking philosophy courses comprised about 4% of the students enrolled for credit at community colleges.
  • Among students enrolled in philosophy courses at community colleges, 4%–7% were dually enrolled high school students.
